The railway sleeper plant, the construction of which began in 2005, started operating in May 2006. The total area of the plant, located in Alat settlement of Garadagh region, is 62,240 sq.m., while its production area is 2904 sq.m.

The plant produces two types of products: concrete sleepers of B70 type and reinforced concrete beams for turnouts. The annual production capacity of the plant, which involves about 200 people, is 511000 units of concrete sleepers of B70 type and 120 sets of diverted tracks per year. That, in its turn, means meeting the needs of sleepers for the construction of approximately 270 km of new railways.

Only local raw materials are used in the production, excluding metal fasteners and inserts, which are imported from Germany.
